ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held on Wednesday at the Y.M.C.A. rooms. Present: Messrs. W. Auld (chairman), C. Webster, P. Banks, R. Hendry, L. White., W. Duncan, H. L. Godber, A. E. Wells, H. Yeoman, aud A. Williams (hon. secretarJ)- , Z, Messrs. Auld, Williams, and Godber were appointed a sub-committee to deal with Brown Shield fixtures and matches on the Basin Reserve. A member of the Brooklyn fourth class was suspended for two playing Saturdays for misconduct. The Wanganui Association wrote confirming the date July 9 for the Brown Shield match at Wanganui., The explanation of the Ponrua fourth class team re registration of players was deemed satisfactory. Tho Gas Company Club wrote protesting against the ground being improperly marked out for their match against Thorndon last Saturday. After eonsideration it was decided that the referee be asked for an explanation. The transfers of F. M. Smyth from St Thomas to Seatoun and E. Sharp from Marist Fourth A to Fourth B were granted. , „ ~ A protest was received from the I ramwavs Club against a decision of the referee in their fixture with Island Bay The protest was held over for the referee’s report. PUBLIC SCHOOL GAAIE. Fixtures, grounds, and referees for to-day are: Senior. 3 p.m.: Seatoun v. Marist (’!.), a bye; Marist B (N.) v. South Wellington, Duppa Street, A Houston; Marist A (N.) v. Newtown, Association Park, E. Heath.’ Junior, 3 p.m.: Marist (T.) v. Newtown, Newtown Park, R. J. Don; Worser Bay v. Hataitai, Kilbirnie Reserve. A. Nor; South Wellington v. Northland B, Dnppa Street, A. Nor; Northland A v. Marist (N.), Anderson Park, Mr. Murphy; Wadestown v. Ngaio, Kelburn, B. Leadsman.
