HUSKISSON-FULTON CASE

MEDICAL WITNESS CALLED AWAY. Tho Supreme Court heard further evidence in the Huskisson-Fulton case yesterday morning, and after sitting for a few minutes in the afternoon, adjourned till 10 a.m. to-day. The plaintiff is the widow of William Huskisson, who died in hospital after a collision between a gig, of which he was an occupant, and a motor-car which was driven by the defendant, Guy Leslie Fulton. The amount of damages claimed is £3OOO. Mr. H. F. O’Leary appears for the plaintiff, and Mr. A. Gray, K.C., and Mr. D. R. Hoggai-d for the defendant. The evidence heard yesterday was similar to evidence already heard in previous proceedings arising out of the collision. It was called for the defence, and related principally to the state of the gig lamps. After the luncheon adjournment, Mr. Gray informed the Court that he was not prepared to go on, as Dr. Faulke, who was nn essential witness for the defence, had been called away to attend a very urgent case. The patient was in a most serious condition, and it was the duty of the doctor to remain in attendance. His Honour agreed to grant nn adjournment till to-day.
