Mr. Denby (Secretary of the‘Navy) has announced the reorganisation of the Atlantic and Pacific fleets, whereby a preponderance of super-Dreadnoughts will be located in the Pacific. All oilburning capital ships will be sent tl.eio, those burning coal being transferred to the Atlantic. On the surface, tho Navy Department s reason for the change is economy through sa’vtng coal expense, but it is believed the real reason for the decision is to maintain the strongest half of the fleet in the Pacific.
