BENZINE AND KEROSENE
WELLINGTON'-PRICES COMPARED WITH THOSE IN SYDNEY.
A cable message from Sydney on Monday stated that the Profiteering Court had reduced the price of kerosene And. benzine by Is. per case, making tho prices 19s. and 295. respectively. Hiese, of course, are wholesale prices. Inquiry was made yesterday as to how Wellington prices compare with those charged in Sydney. It was ascertained thnt tho wholesale price of kerosene was "Is per case, and benzine (good stand* ard grade), 31s. per case. Prices in Sydney recently were on a par witn those in Wellington, but will now be 2s. less per case.
