Marania, on route from Sun Francisco, arrived at Papeete on Saturday. She sailed on Sunday for Rarotonga and WeUington. KAIKOURA FROM AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Kaikoura left Auckland yesterday morning for Wellington, and is due here to-morrow. The Kaikoura has London cargo for discharge here and she will subsequently load for Home at Tokomaru Bay, Gisborne, and Wellington. SHROPSHIRE DUE TO-DAY.' The Shropshire left Lyttelton last night and is due here to-day to complete loading for Homo. She is timed to sail on June 15 for Southampton and London. SOMERSET LEAVES NEWPORT NEWS. The Federal Lino advise that the Somerset left Newport News on .May 51 for New Zealand. She is coming in ballast. MAMARI’S MOVEMENTS. The S.'S, and A. Line have received definite advice that the Mamari is expected to leave Brisbane to-morrow for Auckland, and is due at the northern port on June 15. She will load there and at Whukatane for Home, sailing finally from Auckland for London about July 2. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain W, D. Cameron, late of the Wahine, joined the Maori yesterday, taking over command from Captain B. B. Irwin. Mr. E. Gilling has joined the hakapo as second mate, vice Mr. H. Cadwallader, who has come ashore sick. Captain F. O. Yellenoweth, of the Rakanoa. has been appointed to the command of the Flora, and Captain J. Bruce, or tho Kokiri, is to transfer to the Rakanoa.

The Katoa is duo from s-tutliern ports now about Monday or Tuesday, and is timed to sail on the latter day for Auckland. The Kawatiri is exnected to leave Oamaru on Friday for Wellington. Due. hero on Sunday she will sail about Monday for New Plymouth. The Breeze is due here next Wednesday from Lyttelton in place of the Cahn, which will make a trip or two in the Lyttelton-Picton-Wanganui run. The Kini will be loading at Oamaru today for Wellington. She is due hero on Saturday, and will then proceed to Greymquth to load coal and timber for Wellington.
