Lord llaig, in dedicating a memorial at Port Elizabeth to the South African Artillery Corps, said he regarded the Conference of ex-l Service men recently held in Capetown as an event of tho very first importance to our race. Tho British Empire'was the real League of Nations, nnd by coming more closely together it could hope to prevent wars. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
