Market quiet. ' ____ PRICES AT FREEZING WORKS Br TeUrra-h Wanganui, February h. The local freezing companies hare reduced the prices paid for wethers and ewes by one farthing per pound. Lambs remain at the same price, and ox and cow- beef has been reduced a half-a-crown per 1001 b. BRISBANE WOOL SALES Brisbane, February 17. The third series of wool sales brought about a strong demand for super greasies .from Japanese buyers. Prices were on a par with December rates. A feature of the sale was the unexpected demand for scoured wools. The well-known “Afton” clip brought 48£d., the highest since the sales reopened last year. —Press Assn.
