The London office of the New Zealand Shipping Company hope to dispatch the following vessels from London for New Zealand:—Remuera, March 3; Kaikoura, April 7; Ruahine, May 19; Bimut-aka, June 30.

FROM HAMPTON ROADS. Tho Anten left Hampton Roads on December 22 for Wellington, and the Will&ston on December 28, for Lytjelton. These vessels will be followed by the Treglisson, Australia, Tredenham, Australia, and -Errol. They are all coming to the Ageiicy of the New Zealand Shipping Company. WEST MAHWAH FROM NAPIER. The West Mahwah is duo from Napier to-day, and after discharge of the Wellington portion of her cargo, will sail on Friday for New Plymouth and Australia. NEWCASTLE COAL FOR WELLINGTON. The Garbeta is to leave Newcastle -coday with coal for Wellington. The IV aipori will leave this week with coal for Wellington. OTAKI FOB NEW YORK. « The Otaki is to load at Napier, Lyttelton, 'and Wellington for Boston and New York, sailing finally early in February. THE WAIOTAPU. The first 'of the Union Company’s new cargo steamers to visit New Zealand waters, the Waiotapu. arrived at Auckland yesterday, from New York. The Federal i;ire are agents. The Waiotapu. formerly the German steamer Stolberg, iv as purchased along with four other steamers, which were surrendered by Germany under the terms of the Peace Treaty, and is of 5886 tons. Her principal dimensions are:—Length, 450 ft.; breadth, 68ft.; depth, 27ft. The Waiotapu is in command of Captain F. P. Evans, who took tlie relief ship to, the Antarctic in Str Ernest Shackleton’s first expedition. During the war Captain Evans was in charge of .the Tahiti, which carried New Zealand troops from 1915 until May, 1918, when she was released to convey American troops to Loudon. The Waikouaiti and the Koranui, two of the other vessels recently purchased by the Union Company, are in charge of Captains William Paul and F. N. Newlove respejtively. The Koranui will be used for tho Australian trade. CAPE NATAL IN PORT, The steamer Cape Natal, to tho agency of tho Union Company, arrived in the stream at Wellington shortly after 3 o’clock yesterday morning, and berthed later at No. 14 Queen’s Wharf (Jervois Quay), to discharge general cargo. The Cape Natal, which is in charge of Captain W. Trenehan, left San Fram-iseo on December 14, and experienced unfavourable weather practically the whivi way across, heavy seas and rain being encountered. Captain Trenehan has associated with him tho following officers:— Chief, Mr. J. H. Corry; second, Mr. H. Race; third, Mr. J. Brady; chief engineer, Mr. William Cooke; second, Mr. A. G. Murray; third, Mr. J. F. Oakey; fourth, Mr. G. King. On completion of discharge at Wellington the Capo Natal will proceed to Dunedin. MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. The Manuka is to leave Sydney on January 1 3 for Wellington, and will sail on the return voyage on January 20. TOFUA DUE TO-DAY. The Tofua is due from San Francisco early this morning ana will berth latyr if granted pratique, at Lambton Wharf. MAIMOA AT LYTTELTON. On her maiden voytlgo the new Shaw, Saviil, and Albion Company’s liner Maiinoa arrived at Lyttelton at 4.10 p.m. on Saturday from New York and Newport News. The Maimoa, of 11,500 tons, is 'll charge of Captain F. Green, who formerly commanded the Matatua. and Malnuia. At an instance of tho hugely increased price of shipbuilding, it may bo stated that the vessel cost £490,600, with no wooden decks and everything cut down to the finest practicable point. A corresponding type of steamer with wooden decks and all extra finish before the war cost £135,800. DURHAM TO LOAp. The Durham, at present in Australia, is to load at Napier, lllult, Lyttelton, and Wellington for Liverpool, Manchester, and Avonmouth. She will sail early in February. The Ripplo and tho Mako arc both due to-morrow from Napiei. Tho future movements of both steamers are indefinite. The Dorset is to sail on. Thursday for Napier. The Wangaratta was unable to get away yesterday for New Plymouth, but is to sail this evening. It is hoped to dispatch tho Port Mel-, bourne to-morrow week for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. The Magic is to make a trip to-morrow to Lyttelton, under the agency of Mr. J. Campbell. The Zita will load timber at Grcymouth this week for Wellington. The Waitomo is to sail to-day for Newcastle. Tho .Kowhai and the Komata will both sail to-mprrow for Westport. The Flora, due from Onehunga on Thursday, is to sail for New Plymouth on Saturday with general cargo. With a shipment of coal for Wellington the Kittawa is due from Greymouth on Thursday. The Huia is, due on Wednesday, and will sail the same day for Pictcni and Wanganui. She will go on tho slip here on January 25. The Cornw'all is due next Monday from Auckland. Returns lately to hpnd show that the Christmas passenger trade on the Union Company's steamer Mararoa, which runs from Napier to Auckland, was this year a record. During the month of December 4000 passengers were carried, as compared with 3300 for the corresponding period of I«J9.
