Mr. Lionel Abraham, who is now convalescent, returned to Palmerston North yesterday after some five weeks and a half in a local private hospital. He expects to be able to resume business after a further eight weeks’ rest. After many yoar& of business in Cuba Street, Mr. J. H. Farquhar, the wellknown boot importer, is relinquishing business, and with Mrs. Farquhar is leaving by the Afhenlc in March next for a prolonged tour of England mid Australia. Mr. Ernest Lilly, of Auckland, is a visitor U> Wellington. ,
