TO-DAY'S TEST MATCH. The final game of tlio tour of the English team of League footballers will be played at tlio Basin Reserve this afternoon. Though tlio eround will be wet a. eood exhibition is expected. The English backs have proved in recent matches that they .are capable of handlin" a wet nnd ireasy ball with accuracy. The Jvow Zealand forwards arc reported to bo in fine fettle, and hope to counter the attempts of tho visiting backs to open up the game. The New Zealand team has undergono few changes from that which played in Ohrlstihureh. Ifwerson, tho crack New Zealand baok, takes the nlaco of Loveridgo at full-back, and should greatly strengthen the defence. Tho English team is tho best available, and with players of the calibre of Wagstaffe, Stone, arid Parkin in the backs should givo acood exhibition of back play despite tho adverso conditions. Owincr to tho bad state of the wound the curtain-raiser will not bo played. The referee for the game will be Mr. A. House, of Wellington.
