A meeting of miners' delegates in London decided to take a ballot on a proposal to striko for demands outlined on July G, with a strong recommendation in favour of a strike.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [The demands referred to were formulated at a meeting of miners' delegates in Leamington ou July G. They are for the reduction in the price of domestic coal by Us. 2d. per ton, tho .'.mount of tho recent increase, which tho miners considered unjustified, and' an increase in the wages-of miners by 2s. per shift for those over 16, and is. per 6hift for tiioso under 18. These demands were submitted to the Government om July 26, and wcro 'uncompromisingly rejected.]
