N.Z.E.I. AND LOWER-PAID TEACHERS

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—l have read Mr. Parkinson's reply to my letter regarding junior teachers and ■ returned teachers. I wat not aware that tho deduction is no longer made; i,or am I aware that the institute is directly responsible for its discontinuance." Presumably the injustice hasbceu .remedied comparatively recently. Therefore, would t'be secretary state when it. was removed and the putt the institute played in the matter ?
