The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date August 11:—Tallow: Wo quote present spot values for tho following descriptions—Fine mutton,- £3 18s. per cwt.; good beef, £3 17s. 6d.; mixed, .£3 9s. Market 6trong. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of a cablegram from their London agents, Messrs. Sanderson, MurTay, and Co., dated August 11:—Market .stronger; greatly improved demands. Quotations to-day: Fine mutton, .£3 19s. 6d.; mixed, .£3 18s.; inferior, £3 lis. The Bank cf New Zealand has recoived the following cablegram from its London office under date August 11:—"The tallow market lias advanced .£ls to" .£2O per ton. At the tallow 6ales 1991 casks were offered. There was an excited demand, 1 especially from the Continent. All wao. sold, and prices rapidly advanced as the sales progressed, closing at 15s. to 20s. above last tales. Mixed showed the greatest advance Fine mutton and beef realised 80s..
