PARLIAMENT AT WORK
BORROWING AND THE RATE OF INTEREST RESTRICTIONS ARE NECESSARY REGISTRATION OF MASSEURS r Most o£ tho afternoon sitting of tho House of Representatives was taken up with a discussion on a report of tho opointions of Imperial Supplies Deport-' inent. Tho most interesting passage of all the discussion' was Mr. Lysnar's' justification of Ins action in withholding his wool from valuation under the requisition scheme ~ ' Three local Bills were put through all stages in short ordoiy and then tho House was ready for Government business. The first Bill was the Masseure Registration ..Bill. As introduced, this Bill had some proposals important from the point of view of the small group of people who practiso massage. But all' the important proposals seem to have gono from, the Bill, and now it provides for« little more than a, register of masseurs. Admission to tho register is.made easy, and those Who are not admitted may still practise. The short title only of the Statutes Repeal and Expiring Laws Amendment and Continuauco Bill was token in Committeo. Mr. Massey had promised to adjourn, and the clauso went without debate. The House' rose at 10.80 p.m. "
