SATURDAY ORGAN RECITALS
Sir,—Notwithstanding tho apparent apathy of the music-loving folk of this city, I am firmly of tho opinion that there is under tho surface a deep feeling of resentment at the action of the City Council in deciding to continue the Saturday evening organ recitals, to the exclusion of the many gifted musicians who would undoubtedly visit us were it possible to obtain tho use of the Town Hall. Not a member of the community wishes to belittle the work of our city organist, whose great gifts are appreciated fully by. very many of them. But, Sir, there are' surely otlier occasions when theso recitals can be given, and it is believed that Mr. Pago himself would very willingly forgo his recital if by so doing bo would be assisting these artists, who under great pressure are being induced to visit our Dominion. I trust that others will continue this agitation till our City Fathers are induced to rcsiind their recent resolution not to interfere with the Saturday evening organ recitals.—l am, etc., , •. • agitate-
