KING OF THE HEDJAZ
REFUSES TO SIGN TURKISH TREATY. Paris, August 11. The Kine of tho Hcdjnz has refused to sign the Turkish Treaty. The "Matin" says that the King insists on Syria being given to the Emir Feisul, and indicates bis ambition to create a vast Arab kingdom, in which his sons, in Svria and Mesopotamia, will only be Ms lieutenants.—Aus.-N.Z.
