IMPORT AND EXPORT RETURNS. (Rec. August 12, 11.10 p.m.) London, August 11. The Board of. Trade returns for July show\the imports to have'been ,£1(13,342,000, compared with >ClM,o(i'i,ooo in Uie' previous i[uly. The exports were .£137,451,000, compared with .£05,315,000. The imports for the first seven months of the year were .£1,190,328,000, compared with ,£809,052,000 for the same period last year The exports were .£771,918,000 this year, compared with .i' 400,071,000 during the January-July period last year.— Renter. • LARGE ESTIMATED BALANCE IN FAVOUR OF EXPORTS. . (Rec. August 12, 8.30 p.m.) London, August 11. The Board of Trade estimates the invisible exports during the January-June neriod to have been .£310,000,000, including investments I abroad of ,-£00,000,000. The net shipping earnings were 000 After deducting ,£210,000,000 for the ev-ress in visible imports, the balance in favour of exports was- ,£70,000,000." It is estimated that the July-December invisible expTrfa: will be .MO.OOO of which investments abroad-art, estimated at £60,000,000,' and' shipping at ■f-210,-. 000,000.
