Two blocks of land, subdivided for settlement by discharged 6oldiers, wore balloted for at the Lands and Survey Office, Nnnier, to-day. The Wilder' Block, divided into four sections, situated about six mijes from Wallingford, was drawn first/the successful applicants being as follow.— Section Is, 630 acres, E. N. M'Leod, Porangahau; 82 applicants. Section 2?, 491 acres, H. Mackey, Mahora South; 71 applicants.' Section 3s. 563 acres, John Williams. "Tunanui Station," Hastings; 78 applicants. Section 4s, 528 acres, G. H. Anpettos, Hastings: 64 apnlieante. The Tikaihi Block, also divided into four sections, and situated at Omaliw™. about 16 miles from Waipawa. was balloted, with the following resultsSection Is, 317 acres, H. H. Turner, Temahangn; 30 applicants. Section 2s, 308 acres, S. S. Linton, E!sthorpe; 28 applicants. Section 3s, 268 acres, H. Norris, Pnketami; 3.5 applicants. Section 4s, 251 acres, R. G. Paget, Wnipukurau; 23 applicants.
