The thousaild-niotres race for the Amateur Cycling Championship of tho World at Oly'mpla resulted:—Pecters (Holland) •1, Johnson (England) 2,'l\*yan (England) 3. There was ah exciting finish, and the race was won by a quarter of a wheel in 6-1 2-ssce. Halpin (Australia) was defeated in the semi-final, as his tyro hurst. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
