"AUSTRALIA'S WILD NOR'WEST"
An invitation screening of the film, "Australia's Wild Nor'-West," waß at the King's Theatre on Monday afternoon before a representative gathering of ministers, members of Parliament, the Board of Education, and many teachers. Mr. It. P. Adams, who broueht the film to Now Zealand, entertained those present with a description of tha territory and the tribes, animals, . and Abli as the camera unfolded its flne record. The pearling fleets, divers, Bholl-openers, and the whole svßtem of winning the .beautiful pearl from the tropic waters are splendidly illustrated. A run along the wild coast in the schooner Culwulla. among coral reefs and up danjerous rivers where the' wild tribcß have to lie carofully watchcd, provided some wonderful pictures, and spearing tho dnsong, known as the sea cuw, are quite novelties, whilo the spearthrowing, boomerang-throwing, and the unusual corroboreea of these low-caste aboriginals of north-west Australia aro all graphically depicted. The pictures were enhanced by the lucid explanations Riven by the speaker. The educational qualities of tho lilm are of liigh standard. "Australia's Wild Nor'-West" will bo shown to tho public rat tho Empress Theatre, commencing on Friday morning.
