Sydney, August 10. The Governor opened tho State Parliament to-day. Tho Speech foreshadowed, amoiißst other things, a Bill for amending; the system of electing members to tho Legislative Assembly, profiteering prevention legislation, the endowment oi mothers, a compulsory wheat pool, groupins State' industrial undertakings under n Ministerial head, tho establishment of a rural bank, a Government insurance office, the regulation of hours of labour and the emendation of tho Industrial ArUitration Act, and a Royal Commission to inquire into the administration of railways, including the renstatement of tho 1917 strikers.—Press A6sn.
