FORECASTED SUMMARY AT 4 P.M YESTERDAY. Present indications are for (strong southeast winds, equally at times in and northward of Cook Strait, backing to northerlios everywhere Bhortly. Weather cold and changeable generally, with passing showers on the northern and East Coast districts of the North Island. Barometer rising, but fall again after about 20 hours for the approach of a disturbance from the westward. High cast to south-east winds have prevailed, and the weather hafl been uusettled generally, and stormy ii>. many parts.
