» ■ POWERFUL AMERICAN ORGANISATION TO OPERATE FORMER GERMAN TRADE ROUTES By Telearanh-Prefls Aasociation-Copyrlftto New York, August 6 Tho American Ship and Commerce Corporation announces tho purchase and amalgamation of the American-Hawaiian Steamship Company, Livermore. - Dearborn, and Company, and the Kerr Navigation Company. The first two own a fleet of about '100,000 deadweight tons, in addition to 200,000 ' tons of Shipping Board vessels joined under United America Lines Incorporated and the Kerr Company. The new combination will be named tho American Ship and Navigation Corporation. The combined fleet of tho new organisation will consist of eighty ships, totalling 590,000 tons, and will carry out an agreement made recently with the Hamburg-American Line, to reopen and operate the pre-war trade routes of the German company.—Aus.N.Z.
