SOCIAL ANDPERSONAL The ladies of tho Fealhcrston Presbytorian Clnirch gave a farewell tea in tho Anzac Hall last week in honour of Mrs. ami Miss Cathcjwood, who are shortly leaving tho district, Musical items arranged by Mrs. Sloclor. and a competition were greatly enjoyed by all. Last evening, under the auspices of tho St. Vincent dc Paul Society, Sir. K. Dillon and party gave an enjoyable entertainment to tho sisters and inmates of St. Joseph's Home for Incurables, Buckle Street. The Eev. Father Outtrim contributed two songs. Mr. IC. Dillon monologues and recitations; Misses Maekie, and duets; Messrs. Skcddan and Sini!>;on, musical solos and duets. Mr. Simpson's solos 011 the viola were much appreciated. After the concert refreshments were handed around to the inmates and those who helped in the even-ing's-entertainment. Tho sisters, inmates of the home, and tho St. Vincent do Paul Society thanked Mr. K. Dillon and his party, al6o tho ladies who supplied the refreshments. The inmates gave three hearty cheers at tho conclusioin of tho entertainment for all who contributd to tho enoyablo evening. The Dev. Wm.
