BLOCKING A CABLE
AMERICAN DESTROYERS PATROLLING ' COAST OF FLORIDA ORDERED TO PREVENT A LANDING By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Washington, August 5. President Wilson has ordered five destroyers to patrol the coast of 'Florida, to prevent, by force , if necessary, tho landing by the Western Union Telegraph Company'(an American company),: of-a cable from Barbados to Florida. Action by tho State Department on the question of granting permission for the landing has been delayed, pending international communications with Congress. The captain of the cable ship has been ordered by the British Ambassador to await in-structions.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
