A SHIPMENT ARRANGED,
A shortage of explosives has been ex* periencoil 111 New Zealand lately, and some mines have been, rendered idle. Mr. Mnsse.v told the House of Representatives vester'day that in consquencc of representations made by the Government, the Union Company had diverted a steamer from Newcastle to Melbourne for the purpose of bringing 150 tons of explosives to New Zealand. This would ensure supplies for the next two or threa mouths.
