ELECTION OF MEMBERS. Tho result of tlie elections in connection wit.h the Wellington Education Board was announced yesterday. In the Wellington city urban area the retiring members were Messrs. K. A. Wright, ,M.r„ and J. P. Shand. Mr. Wright, who was not a nominee of the School Committees' Association, headed tho poll. Mr. A. J. White, secretary of tho association displaces Mr. Shnnd. Shnnd 4!l Laurence Hennessy 10 Informal 1 There were 'two candidates for the vacancy in the Wairarapa ward of tho rural area. The retiring member, Mr. T. Moss, was ro-elcctcd by a majority of eight votes. Details are:— Thomas Moss 192 William T. Grundy 184 Informal 11 Another election is necessary in. the Wairarapa ward to fill the extraordinary vacancy c.i'usrd by tho resignation of Mr. A. W. Hoß.tr. In this connection nominations close on August 11. No election was necessary in thre« wards. Mr. E. P. Rishworth was reflected unopposed as representative of tho Rutt-Petone urban area, Mr. W. It. Field, M.P., for the Hutt-llorowhenna wnrd of t.ho runil area, and Mr. E. H. Penny for tho Marlborough ward of the rural area.
