The Watfarapa- Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., Eketahuna. report on Mr. J B. Lowe's disposal sale of AberdeenAngus cattle, held at Rongomai on Fri day last, as follows :-Buyers, .representative of Hawke-s 'Bay, Taranaki, South Canterbury, Wnirarapa, and Manawatu. were present. From- the commencement It was evident that only the host sorts with extensive pedigrees and descended from wcyknown stock were inquired for. these making good vnlues, but some lots were almoßt neglected, and only,made a httlo more than ordinary hird prices. Top prices, in cows was paid by tho Gwavas Estate, for Gca Nymph (Gladbroolc bred), at 165gns.; others making from lOgns. to J4cns. The two-year heifers were a good lot, and elicited raueh better competition. Mr. J. E. newitt, the well-known Bomney breeder, was a keen bidder on these, securing the two top-priced lots, viz. Aigrette 3rd of Wairansri. at llOins., and Mascot 3rd of Wairangi at 102uns. Tho balance of the lots ranged from 19. 31 43. 46. to 50gns. Yearlinjr heifers made U - 12. 15, 20, 30, to 34gns. ' The majority of the lots were secured by Mr. N. B. Gibbons, of Wanganui, other buyers beimr Messrs. J. TV. Ellinghnm (Hawkc'n Bay), J F. Knight (Manawatu). R. E. Crcsswell (Wairarapa). and F. White. Bullb did not sell as freely as the female stock, the Gladbrook bull Tutor only made 55gns. (purchaser Mr. A. H. Herbert). Other principal saleß of two-year-olds were as follow :-Lord of Wairanoi, Mr. N. B. Gibbons. 60gns.: Timothy of Wairanpi. Mr. Guild, Temuka, Canterbury, 34gns. Others' •made 20 to 33gns.. beini secured by local purchasers. Yearling bulls were not in demand and are open for private sale through tho auctioneers' Eketahuna "/rho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd.. report having conducted a clearing nale of dairy stock on account of Mr. Vernan Harwood, at Levin, on Monday There was Osgood attendance of buyers and competition was keen throughout the sale. The herd averaged £20 10s. (including several which Bold below £9).
