DR. MANNIX'S UTTERANCES
PROSPECTIVE ACTION BY BRITISH. London, July 19. Mr. Bonar Law, in the House of Commons, said the Government was considering what action should be taken in regard to Dr. Man nix's recent anti-British utterances in America.—Aus.-N.K. Cable Assn. Archbishop M.mnix, speaking at the City Hall on the occasion of receiving the freedom of the city, said: "I venture to express the hope that the goodwill expressed for my country by you "will continue. America may not need Australia, but Australia may need America. I assure you, in the name of the Australian people, that the compliment you have paid me will be valued in Aus-tralia."—Aus.-N.Z.
