Chrlstchurch, July 20 A largely attended meeting of local jockeys was held at Riccavton this mornins to discuss the situation in connection with the jockeys' dispute and the holdup of horses on steamers. A representative of the Racing Conference was present, and read a letter from the executive of the Transport Workers' Federation in Wellington, asking tho jockeys to express their views regarding a proposal to lift the embargo 011 the carriage of horses by 6teamer. There was not much discussion, hut it is understood that practically all tho jockeys at Ricearton Bigned a document asking for removal of the embargo which prevents the carriage of horses between the North and South Islands. ,
