PENSIONS APPEAL BOARD
A Will' Pensions Amendment Bill was introduced in the Houso of Eepresenlatives yesterday by Mr. A. Harris (Waitemata)! The Bill proposes the credtiou of a War Pension* Appeal Board, with authority to roviow tho decisions of tho Pensions Board. Tho Appeal Board is to consist of a Stipendiary Magistrate mid two doctors, one nominated by the Government and the other by.the Itetuinod Soldiers' Association. Air. Harris .asked Government to consider the adoption of his Bill. A War Pensioiis .»| peal Board was sorely needed. Cases of undoubted hardship existed, and wero frequently brought under the notico of members. . Tho Bill was read a first time and set down for second reading.
