The Oroydon Diocesan Boys' . School held its annual' boxing tournament in the pavilion.at Day's Bay on Juiy and a-:' In welcoming tho boys' parents and others who were in attendancerlhe prinoipal, tno Rev. E. H. Hobday, remarked that the annual boxing tournament was a special leature at the sohool, and besides foitering a spirit of competition amongst the boys, it gave 'the parents an opportunity ot witnessing tho excellent physical training their boys wero receiving. lhe_omcials were Mr. Staples (referee), Mr. Ourtayne (tiine-keoper), assisted by Mr. Woodward and Mr. Alan Maxwell (tho instructor). The bouts, which wero keenly contested throughout, resulted as follow:— Heavy-weight.—First Bound: Thomson beat Williams, maj.; Stevenson beat Grey; Lane, mi:, beat Hume, mi.; Eankine beat Hume, maj.; Lane, maj,, beat Stranj.
