« ALARMING SITUATION FRENCH TROOPS MARCHING ON DAMASCUS By Telegraph-Press Assoolation-Oopyrig&t (Beo. July 18, 5.5 p.m.) Cairo, July 16. A message from Damascus dated July 13 slates that Frenoh troops are concentrating in Zalileo, and have occupied the Maalftkah and Riak railway stations. Syrian forces are gathered at Majdeknger, prepared to resist the Bedouin ohiofs assembled at Damascus, where there is a state of ferment. The situation is alarming.—Router. . (Eec.
