About 40 business men, representing the various advertising interestsof this city, met in the board room of the Farmers' Listitute on Thursday evening to hear an address by Mr Norman S. H Cntts, president of the Sydney Ad.-Men's Institute. Mr. Catts dealt iii a Te ry interesting manner with tho origin of the ad-men's clubs in America, Great Britain, and Australia,. particularly in regard to the latter country. Stephenson, to draw up a constitution to bo presented at a meeting to be held in tho near future Mr. Eusden Salt was elected chairman of tho committee, with Mr. If. Hilt as secretary. At ihe conclusion of the meeting a hearty vole of (hanks was accorded Mr. Calls, also lo Mr. C. R Smith for presiding at the meeting.
