KELBURN SCHOOL NEEDS

.Sir,—The Kelburn Ratepayers' Assoeinrf tion have at various times mado sugJ, gestions to the City Council on mat*' ters affecting this district. As nothing has yet been dona with re* eard to two of those suggestions, which are of special interest to this school, ]) am asking your permission to give fur* ther publicity to these matters: (1) Tho erection of danger signals tat tnotori6(n and others passing round tha very awkward street corners near tho 6chool. This is a practice adopted in all mod* ! ern cities some of which, I ,im given ta understand, go so far as to close c-?n' tain streets to vehicular traffic during ; Kchool hours. Tho other is an" ovoai' more urgent matter. (2j A large number of children coma across tho viaduct every day and tho! ' approach at the far end is nii oxhwuelr' dangerous ono for small pedestrians. Five roads and a, double line of train' railß converge horo and are shut in bv a' i iiarrqw'cutting. If the N.W. ontl" of til? bridge approach wore opened out and a; proper path made, it would help mato* nally.
