ENTERTATNTMWT AT TRENTHAM
A suggestion that the members of the "Sleeping . Bwnlty"' pantomime company should irive an entertainment to the invalids at Trcntbani was made to Mr. J. Fnrrell. manaecr for J. C. .Williamson, Ltd., 'by representatives of the Y.M.C.A. Approval was at once forthcoming, the members oC tlio company resixmded to the rcauisition splendidly, and one of the best entertainments ever given at Trentham followed vesterday afternoon.. It took ten motor-cars to convey the companv to Trentliam. and the artists dressed for the occasion in the- clothes they wear during the pantomime performance. The invalided soldiers enioyed everv minute of the entertainment, and the artists seemed thoroughly to cdlot the splendid appreciation of their efforts. The following programme was arranged by the stage manaeer of the company Mr. .1. 0. Whitfield); Overture. "Sleeping Beauty" Pantomime Orchestra; duet, "I Want to Snuggle," Freda Mitchell and Nellie Hutton; recitation, Herbert Leigh; songs. "At Half-past Nine." "You'd be Surprised," Lucy Sullivan; sketch, "Developing a Photograph," George Welch and Sydney Culver; sours,, "Give Me the Moonlight." "Kinedom Within Your Eyes." Winifred Homa. and Connio Hobbs; songs, "Sine _ Mo "Love's Lullaby," "Invertatipn," Mione Stewart; step dance, Sydney Culver; recitation, Margaret Sutcliffo; a 6cono from "Sleeping Beauty" pantomime, Egbert Brothers, Marriott Edgar and George Welch; song, "Ann Hnthawnv," Mione Stewart; songs at the piano, Frank Crossley.
