INFECTIOUS DISEASES
CASES FOR THE WEEK. During the week ended noon' yesterday 55 cases of infectious'.diseases were reported in the Wellington Public Health District, as compared with 82 for the previous week. Although influenza is not: now a notifiable disease, nine cases were reported during the week. . Hospital districts which notified cases of infectious diseases during the week were :— Wnipawa: Diptheria, 2; influenza, 2; pneumonia, 1; chickeupox, 1. Taranaki: Scarlet fever, 1; diphtheria, t; enteric fever, I; influenza, 2; ehickonpox, 2. Stratford: Scarlet fever, 1. Hawera: Scarlet fever, 1; diphtheria, 1; chickenpox, 1. Wanganui: Influenza, 2. Palmerston North: Diphtheria, 4; enteric fever, 1; tuberculosis, 1; influenza, 1; pneumonia, 1; chickeupox, .2. Wellington: Scarlet fever, 1; diphtheria, 5; tuberculosis, i: cerebrn-spinal nieninjritis, 1; influenza, 2; pneumonia, 1; chickenpox, 2; erysipelas. 1.
