HARRIERS
Over 20 runners of thfl Brooklyn Harriers Club journeyed to Bona Bay on Saturday, an impromptu sportß meeting being held 011 the beach. Mr. M'pherson, of Hona Bay, donated three prizes to be competed for with a view to encouraging members to take a moro active part in open competitions. AM events wore keenly contested, and tho club appreciate Mr. M'Pherson's effort on their behalf.- .The following-arc the results :~120 hurdles: N. Smcllie and J. Greig (doad-heat), 1, Broad jump: H. Itobinson, 1; N. Bmellio, 2. Hop, Btep, and Jump: N. Thompson, 1; It. l'outawera, 2. Belay race:. Dentice, ThonipHon Todd, and Quij, 1. The final points w»5;-N. Thompson, 10j, N. Smellle, 7; H, Robinson and. H. Poutawera. 6 each. After the sports members and their friends were entertained at ten by Mr.- Dentise, deputycaptain, at the Council Ohnmbers, a social evening following. Next Saturday at Mrnimar the Cooke Cup race, of five miles, will be held ov#r a cross-country course.
