BUTCHERS THREATEN STRIKE
PROTEST AGAINST MEAT SITUATION IN BRITAIN.
(Rec. Juno 20, 11.5 p.m.) London. June 19. The butchers threaten to strike with a view to forcing the Government to act so as' to relieve tho present unsatisfactory meat situation. Prominent butchers declare thtat there is a shortage of good meat throughout the Kingdom, and the publio is exasperated at receiving inferior qualities of long-stored meat, chiefly South African and New Zealand.
