HIDE AND SKIN SALES

The fortnightly sales of-hides and Bkina were held yesterday by the various brokcrß. . „ , •'Messrs. . Daleoty and Co., Ltd., report that they submitted an average cataloeuo of all classes to the usual attondnncc or buyers. Competition for hides was Tery dull, and air lots were slow of sale. As compared with taut.sale's rates prices for cood, sound hides wcro a shade cauer, whilst all cut nnd slippy and inferior nra'des were irrccular, and sold .u much fower rates. There wan absolutely no inoiiiry for tallow, and all lines wcro withdrawn. .... Messrs. Abraham nnd Williams, Ltd.. report:-Hiddine was a little less smrltwi than usual, and roles showed a slight decline on last sale's rates, espocialy for the Inferior erodes. Calfskinß wore on a par with the last Bale prices.
