FRENCH BEANS, 2s. 2d. 'PER LB. WHOLESALE. Vegetables appear to be in good supply on the local market, and prices, save for special lines, are at present on the moderate- side. Perhaps tho dearest line sold in tlie market yesterday w a email box of French beans, which fetched 2s. 2d. per U>. They wero bought by a, Chinaman. On the other hand, carrots were sold from 2s. tn Is. per sack; excellent cabbago from ss. to 7s. per sack; small cauliflowers eo'ld for as low as 4s. per sack, good lines brought lis. and 12s, per sack, Taradale pumpkins brought 14s. to 15s. per saclc; swedes, 6s. per double case; vegetable marrows, 4s. Gd. to ss. Cd. per' sack; sound potatoes. .£8 10s. to .£9 per ton. Turnips and celery were also m good supply.
