Tho Inspector of .Awards (Mr. R. T. Bailey) proceeded yesterday against W. M. Bain (represented by Mr. Barnett) on a charge of employing several boys under sixteen years of age without tho necessary permits. A conviction was recorded, and a fine of ,10s. with costs 7s. was imposed in respect to each of four charges. Til.! Petono Rifle' Club will to-dav comploto their season with a final match at Trentham over tho ranges of -500 and GOO yards.
