Tho annual meeting of the Wellington Town-planning Association will be liclil in the Dominion Farmers' Institute on Monday, May' 31. Included in the business to be iransaeted will be the revision' of the constitution: Under the proDosed new constitution it is intended to widen the scopo of the association's activities. ' This year the association hopes to see ft definite result of its ailorls during tho past few years in tlio shapo of an up-to-date Town-planning Act. The Prince of Waks has. arranged for a selection of the prcsonts and nddresses he received in Canada to be exhibited at the Imperial Institute, _ London. From the public point of. view, "perhaps the most interesting exhibit is the dress presented to'the Prince on his election to tho tribe of Stoney Indians as Chief "Morning Star." This, consists of a buckskin suit, 'ornamented with symbolic designs in beadwork. A sketch .of the Princo wearing this dress, by Captain I'earse. N.Z.E.8., is also exhibited. Sir Cuthbert Wallace, in an address delivored at the University ofEdinburgh on "Surgery in the War," said that one of the finest instances of scientific medicine in the whole war was tho use of ■ tho anti-tetanic scrum. ■ In tho Aisno Valley the amount of tetanus was very great- and it was becoming n serious thing for tho troops. In America-they knew, a good deal about the treatment of the disease as a result of the National ■ Celebration of July 4, which contributed many victims.. Someone suggested inoculation, and then practically the whole ' world was scoured for. anti-tetanic serum, in order that the Allies , might : have the benefit of it, and the number of cases immediately dropped.
