MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED

FALL FROM A BRAKE. Throuirh the sudden movement of a pair of horses attached to a brake, a. young married man jut mod Dominio Clausen, was seriously injured at the Umier Hutt on Saturday evening. _ Clausen was in charge of tlio vehicle, which had been drawn up, when suddenly the horses gave a start, and he was thrown backwards, striking the ground with his head. It was at once seen that. Clausen had been badly hurt, so Dr. Kemp was summoned, and he found that the base of the man's skull had been fractured. An ambulance was obtained from Trentham military hospital, and in this the injured man was conveyed to the Wellington Hospital. Although he was brought to town in a very ' serious condition, Clausen was reported last night to be a little more comfortable.
