SOUTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION FORMED.

' Delegates representing the Otago Motor Club and tho South Canterbury MotorCvcle Club and Canterbury Automobile Association met here to-day for the purpose of considering a proposal to break awav from the New Zealand Automobile Association, and form a South Island Automobile Association. After a lengthy discussion, during which the nlleged 'shortcomings of the New Zealand Association were freely discussed. it was unanimously resolved to form a South Island Motor Association. It was resolved that the headquarters of the now association for the first twelve months be Christchurcli. Mr. F. W. Johnson (Christchurcli) was elected president of the new body. ' .
