EVANS BAT CLUB. A fullv-attended meeting of the Evans Bav Yacht and Motor Boat Club was held at Evans Bay on Tuesday last. Mr. Ibbotson was in the chair. The club regretfully accepted the resignation of Mr. G. Jackson from the office of commodore, and trusted that he would still be able to take a keen interest in the club. Mr. Ibbotson was elected to the vacancy, and Mr. C. Headland was returned to tho post vacated by Mr. Ibbotson as vicecommodore. There was a very hearty response to requests for donations to the prize fund, approximately Xlo being handed to the treasurer, and promises beina mads for trophjes from various donors for individual events. The club decided to hold tho ocean race on Saturday, February 21, at 2 p.m., the return half of the trip to staTt about 8 or fi a.m. on Sunday. It was also decided that yachts would finish tho first half of the journey at the .eastern side of tho entranco ,to Port Underwood, and then anchor for.the night! The prizes are as. follow: First. £7 cash, and cup -to be held by winning yacht until succeeding race: second, ,£3 cash; and third, „£2 cash. The race is open to any yachts tho owners of which are members and registered with tho club.
