Polish cavalry, under. General Haller, rodo fetlock deep into tho waves, sym-. bolosing that Poland's ' territory once nioro reached the Baltic.' General Holler's cavalry rodo into the half-frozen waters of tli'e Gulf-of .Danzig, and as they rode back,from the sea tliev dismounted and closcd round a 'flagstaff; where a Catholic Bishop dedicated the Polish colours.
