Association for the second day of the annual show. There was a record attendance, and Wie exhibition certainly was the most successful ever held in the district.' To-iluy was, devoted to judging the balance of the light horses and a fow medium draughts. So far as amusement went, the public was amplv catered for, as the society had put on sufficient interesting: competitions to fill in the day comfortably' and prevent time drairgina, while punctuality -waa tho keynote of the proceedings. Jtr. O. D. Buxton's Eoyal Star, which won in tho ISst. class, waß awarded the saddle championship;. Ladies' hacks 'brought out an excellent class, and after keen competition Miss JtacNiven's Omuiii added to a long list of honours by again seenrinK a red ticket. Miss Hoopers Laddie waa second, Komngi beine placed third. The troop horses were an especially Btrong class, nearly all the entrants being Vrood weight carriers. . Miss Maher s Bachelor, who has won this event at several shows, was beaten by H. A. Speedy's mare, Solid Rua There was u email entry in maiden hacks, and nothing of very gbod quality camo forward. A dozen really useful animals faced the judge in the class for best-paced hack, and Laddie, with his ensy action and long, swinging stride, had an easy win from Mibs Barker's Knisht, with Pathfinder third. Tho last-named appropriated the prize for best walking horse. Competition waß very limited in eight harness classes, only the one entry shining in style and action in the mens 15 hands clans being Bachelor, who also annexed tho championship. In the under x 5 hands class thero was a duel between Miss M'Lean'6 Wee MacGregor and Miss Cowper'B Joker, two stylish black cobß with good action, but the former hnd the best getaway, and the freer style of moving. The iprize for best lady's turuout fell to Miss Maher for a atylißli gig drawn by Bachelor. The miscellaneous and tradesmen's classes brought forward very few entries, dfnd the quality would havo permitted of considerable improvement. The ladies' driving competition was won. by Miss K. Barker, who defeated Miss G. Maher. The boys' barcoacked a.nd jumping competition evoked «ecu rivalry and some Teally good jumping and riding were shown. The rpen hunturs competitions brought' out fifteen entries, and some excellent jumping was shown, the bii» wire jump being negotiated safely. Miss JfaeiN'iveu's Omnia, who took her jumps in triumphant style, secured first, prize with Mr. P. Drummond i Spider, another good hunter, second. Miss Nora, Armstrong's Korangi who was .inclined to rush his jumps, was third. Ladies' hunters provided an interesting event, which was won by Miss MacNiven's Omuia who made a perfect round. Miss M'lfardy's Pathfinder was but little tehind in style. Some very good work was done by tho dogs in the sheep trials, but no dog was abls to stand within tho time limit. J.-It. Corrigan b Marvel was placed first, with J. Langs Fan second. The ladies' turning competition provided a l<ecn contest, Miss G. Manor beating Miss Norah Armstrong in tho fln-.l run. The wlte iump (hunting style) furnished that old veteran, Colonel, with a popular win, Omuia leaving the contest with second f.ionoivrs. Daylight was third. In the leaphiE match Omnia gamed her third victory of the day in jumping events A. J. Avers' Givia being second, mid J. Henderson's Quaker third. Prize list:— Horses.
