Since returning to New Zealand in Novoniber Inst, C. M'Conaehy the champion billiard player of New Zealand, has played over 50 Ramos, each time conceding hi"- starts, and so far has not been defeated. A few years ago M'Conaehy <•« New Zealand billiard players agog by compiling a break of 1083 off the, three balls, and then beating the Dominions leading plavcrs one after the other, finally defeating Stephenson for the championship. A big future was (hen predicted tor the brilliant New /ealandcr, which seemed more than justified when it was learned that in Australia "M'Conacliy met and defeated Fred. I.indrnm. the Australian champion, and afterwards Albert Williams, the English professional. Openin" up his present, tonr in Auckland, bo wade a break' of 7« in the Civic Rooms. Wdlingtonians will have an opportunity of seeing the Dominion's prospective international representative in action at tho new Albert Billiard Room, next the Albert Hotel, between February 23 and 28, when he will concede MOO nonits to Crosran in a match of SOW). Messrs. A.lcoclc and Co., Ltd., in a circular advertising M'Oonaehv's tour, describe him as the inost brilliant cueist ever produced in New Zealand.
