A GLASGOW MURDER
DEATH OF A MONS VETERAN. London, February 9. An Australian soldier named Albert .Tames Eraser was arrested at Belfast with another man and two women, and cbareed with murdering Henry Senior, a Mons veteran, who was discovered, roblied and mutilated, in the Queen's Park Recreation Ground at Glasgow on January 4. Senior's trouser pocket was out awav. and bis boots were missing. A tram conductor said he noticed two voiine men with their hands bloodstained and their pockets bulging, he believed with the dead man's jwols. Inquiries showed that one was Fraser, and tho Wher an Irishman named .Tame? Slain, who were associated with two young eirls. Ail four iled to Ireland.
Australian Headquarters states that illegal absentees include a soldier named Albert James Fraser, No. GO.IIS, sGth Battalion, who has been absent since last Julv.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
ACCUSED REMANDED. (Eec. February 12, 7.50 p.m.) London, February 10. A crowd boo-ed and hissed Fraser and tho other accused on arrival at Glasgow station. To-day they were formally cliarccd with the murder of Senior, .and remanded.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. _ Eraser and his malo companion hid in a cave at the foot of a cliff in a lonely spot four miles from Belfast. They slept in a neighbouring haystack. The girls, both of whom were about twenty years old, lodged in Belfast. Detectives pounced on Fraser and his companion when they emerged from tho envo on Sunday to join tho girls: Sonior's overcoat and boots v/oro discovered in a pawnshop—Aus.N.Z. Cablo Assn.
